HP Reinvents the Desktop: A Whole PC Inside a Keyboard
Decades after iconic personal computers like the Sakhr AX-170 introduced the idea of compact, all-in-one systems, HP has reimagined the concept for the modern era. The company’s EliteBoard G1a is a Windows-powered PC ingeniously built into what looks like a standard keyboard.
This all-in-one workstation is designed for professionals who prefer clean, efficient setups with multiple screens. Inside its slim keyboard chassis, the EliteBoard G1a packs AMD’s latest Ryzen AI processors, supports up to 64GB of RAM, and offers storage capacity of up to 2TB. Buyers can even opt for a built-in battery, making the device portable enough for flexible work environments. The design simplifies the desktop experience — plug it into one or two monitors, and it instantly transforms into a full-function PC. HP’s minimalist approach could make traditional desktop towers feel outdated, blending performance, portability, and modern aesthetics in one streamlined package. While primarily aimed at business users and enterprise clients, HP also plans to make the EliteBoard G1a available directly to consumers through its online store.
